Police are said to be investigating a homicide after two men were shot Thursday afternoon.
According to police officials, the victims were rushed to hospital where one succumbed to his injuries and the other is listed in serious condition.
The Journal understands that the dead man is in his 20’s.
The shooting reportedly happened around 5:00 p.m. yesterday in Ethel Street, in the Montell Heights area.
Up to press time the details on this latest incident remained sketchy.
Three Shot in Separate Shootings
Police also investigating two separate shootings that took place on Wednesday.
The first incident occurred just after 3:00 p.m.
Reports are that two men were standing in front of a business establish, on Carmichael Road near Montgomery Avenue when a man armed with a handgun, approached them and shot both of them to the leg, before fleeing on foot.
Both men are listed in stable condition.
In the second incident just after 5:00 p.m. two men were sitting in front of a residence on Bradley Street just off Bellot Road when four men in a silver Nissan vehicle pulled up and shot one of them in the leg before speeding off.
That victim too is listed in stable condition.
Active investigations continue.
