Americans Plead Guilty to Breaching Fisheries Act

Four American citizens appeared in the Magistrates Courts Monday to face charges related to breaching the Fisheries Act.

George Fritzgerald, 47, 20-year- old Tyler Fritzgerald, 39-year-old Cammy Fritzgerald and 39 -year-old Jennifer Taylor were arraigned before Deputy Chief Magistrate Helen Jones.

George pleaded guilty to assisting in illegal landing, he was given a conditional discharge and was ordered to donate $1,000.00 to the Immigration Department and $1,000.00 to the Grand Cay All Age School.

In connection to a separate matter that was reported on August 9, in
Grand Cay, Abaco, George was also charged with possession of undersized crawfish, possession of undersized conch and possession of stone crab and filet fish.

He was arraigned before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson for that matter.

He pleaded guilty to all charges and was fined $3,000.00 on each count or six months at Her Majesty’s Prisons.

The other defendants pleaded guilty to illegal landing and were given an absolute discharge.
