Two 18-year-old men were on Friday arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court for two separate murder that occurred recently in the capital.
Holiday Drive, East Street resident Richard Hepburn and Jason Simmons of Thompson Lane were both arraigned yesterday at the Magistrate’s Court before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt in Court Number Nine.
Police are convinced that on June 14 Hepburn stabbed 23-year-old Charlton Robinson during a fight outside Vanity Club on Elizabeth Avenue.
The young father was rushed to hospital, but died shortly after 1:00 a.m.
Robinson’s alleged killer was not required to enter a plea.
In the second case, Simmons was formerly charged with the April 27 murder of Neko Lloyd.
Police say Lloyd was sitting on a bench at the rear of a female friend’s home when a gunman approached him and opened fire, fatally shooting the 33-year-old several times in the stomach and chest.
Both matters are expected to proceed via a Voluntary Bill of Indictment on August 22 at noon.
