A 25-year-old man was arraigned in the Magistrates Court on Wednesday for a 2013 murder.
Rashad Cooper of Quarry Mission Road appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyanne Ferguson-Pratt for the murder of Leroy Adderley on September 5, 2013.
Adderley, the 48-year-old father of three was gunned down at his Boyd Road home, only a month after he was acquitted of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl at Vacation Bible School.
Cooper, who was seen laughing outside the courtroom as police officers escorted him out, was not required to enter a plea to the charge and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until June 3 when the Crown would present a voluntary bill of indictment, fast tracking the matter to the Supreme Court.
