Police Superintendent Stephen Dean confirmed last evening that a man was killed in a shooting incident in Grand Bahama.

This incident apparently occurred along Weddell Street shortly after 9:00 last night in the same area where a man was shot to death at a nightclub early Monday morning.

The victim in last night’s shooting died at the scene, Superintendent Dean said.

Police have not indicated whether the incidents are related.

Another man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in this incident. His condition is unknown.

The matter is under active police investigation and police have assured that more details are forthcoming.
