The lifeless body of a black middle aged man was found floating about 50 feet from the shoreline in an area just before Dick’s Point off the Eastern Road Friday, leaving authorities with more questions than answers.
Police said they made the discovery around 11:30a.m.
According to Assistant Superintendent B.K.Bonamy Jr, the victim, who is believed to have frequented the Eastern Road area, was at the time wearing a blue striped polo shirt, a black sweater and jeans.
There were no visible signs of trauma. The victim was also without any form of identification, police said.
Police on Friday appealed to anyone with a missing relative or who may have some idea of what happened to call the nearest police station.
An autopsy is expected to determine the man’s exact cause of death.
