A 30-year-old man who was out on bail for murder and outfitted with an electronic monitoring bracelet, pleaded guilty in a court on Friday on possession of ammunition charges.
Dustin Gamaal Taylor along with his 53-year-old mother Monique Patrice Taylor appeared before Chief Magistrate Joyann Ferguson-Pratt to be charged with possession of ammunition.
The pair was arrested last Thursday after officers from the Firearms Tracing and Investigations Unit acting on intelligence executed a search warrant at their home located at Trinity Way and Bethel Avenue where they found 20 rounds of .762 ammunition.
The man pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to four years at Her Majesty’s Prisons.
Charges were dropped against his mother.
It was revealed that the man had been out on bail for murder and two separate counts of unlawful sexual assault.
