The trial of the man accused of the murder of 11-year-old Marco Archer will get underway today.
The trial was originally scheduled to start Monday but was delayed after a case being heard in the same court where 37-year-old Kofhe Goodman is expected to stand trial was extended.
Goodman is accused of the abduction and murder of the sixth grade Columbus Primary School student back in 2011.
It is believed that between Friday September 23 and Wednesday September 28, 2011, Goodman who also goes by the name Elvardo Ferguson, abducted Archer near his Brougham Street home.
The boy’s body was found five days later in bushes behind Goodman’s Cable Beach apartment complex.
Goodman, who also faces two other murder charges, has denied any involvement in Archer’s death.
The trial will take place in the Supreme Court before Justice Bernard Turner.
