A woman’s badly decomposed body was discovered on one of the Family Islands on Wednesday, police have confirmed.
Police received reports about human remains in the Turtle Cove, Abaco area.
Officers from the Marsh Harbour Police Station found the body, which had already begun to decompose, covered with rocks.
An autopsy will be done to determine the exact cause of death and the identity.
Police are investigating this matter.
Drugs Found At GB Airport
Thousands of dollars worth of drugs were discovered in unclaimed luggage in the Grand Bahama International Airport’s, Domestic Section Wednesday.
The luggage arrived from a south Bimini flight.
Police searched the bag and found a taped package of suspected marijuana which has an estimated weight of five pounds and is valued at $5,000.
No one has been arrested in connection with the drugs.
