Authorities discovered a man’s bullet riddled body in bushes yesterday, a stone’s throw away from an unfinished development in Pinewood Gardens.
This is the country’s 98th homicide.
According to reports, the man, who is believed to be in his 30s, was found on a dirt road near the Southern Dreams development.
A concerned citizen notified authorities of the discovery just after 9:00 a.m. yesterday, officials said.
The man, who was wearing a grey hood jacket and jeans, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, police said.
According to Assistant Superintendent of Police Solomon Cash, police believe the man’s body was placed there 12 hours before he was discovered.
The man was lying on his stomach when police found him.
“I want to appeal to the public or anyone who may have had a loved one who they have not seen for a period of time to call the Central Detective Unit or the police control room and they could advise us who that loved one is,” Mr. Cash said.
