Police in Grand Bahama are investigating the discovery of a female body found in a vehicle. 

According to police, on Wednesday shortly after 8 a.m., police were called to a business establishment on East Beach Drive where the body of a female with stab wounds was discovered in the trunk of a vehicle. 

Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene and reported no signs of life.

Following the discovery of the body, police took into custody a 20-year-old man, who is a relative of the victim.  The man is assisting police with investigations.
