Three men were arraigned today before Deputy Magistrate Subusola Swain on one count of possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply, one count of conspiracy to possess dangerous drugs, one count of importation of dangerous drugs, and one count of conspiracy to import dangerous drugs.
Fifty year old Howard Rolle of Mangrove Cay, Andros, 35 year old Pizzario Brennen of Alice Town Bimini and 37 year old Clyde Dawkins of Lowe Sound, Andros pleaded guilty to all charges and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Corrections until August 21st. This matter is in connection with the seizure of 1,627 pounds of marijuana found off Andros on May 3rd.
Also arraigned was 24 year old Sergio Juan Smith of Suriname in connection to the seizure of 1.8 pounds of cocaine at the Lynden Pindling International Airport last Sunday.
Smith was charged with one count of possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply, one count of conspiracy to possess dangerous drugs with intent to supply, one count of conspiracy to import dangerous drugs and one count of importation of dangerous drugs. He pleaded guilty to the first three charges, and pleaded guilty to the last. He was remanded to the Bahamas Corrections until May 17th.
