Police on Grand Bahama are investigating a house fire that occurred late Wednesday afternoon.
According to police reports, sometime around 4:00 p.m. they were alerted to a house fire that occurred on Alexis and Polaris Drive.
A 10-bedroom structure was found engulfed in flames. The fire started in a northern bedroom of the home, which was extensively damaged.
An elderly woman who lived in the home was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital for observation.
Meanwhile, investigations continue in to the cause of the fire that occurred Tuesday in Yellow Elder Gardens that left a family of six homeless.
The Cartwright family narrowly escaped with nothing more than the clothes on their backs after an early afternoon fire ripped through their home.
The fire gutted the entire interior of the home. No one was injured.
Police investigations continue in to both incidents.
