Department of Immigration officials have reported that they have repatriated over 300 Haitians to Port-Au-Prince last week.
Officials said the department repatriated – 303 immigrants.
Repatriations began last Tuesday when 46 Haitian migrants – 42 females and four minor children were repatriated.
On Wednesday the department repatriated another 46 Haitian nationals to Haiti, being 41 males and five females.
On Thursday, the department repatriated 105 Haitian males to Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
The final exercise for the week was carried out Friday morning via a Bahamasair jet where 106 Haitian nationals were repatriated to Haiti.
Officials said the persons repatriated represent those who illegally landed in Eleuthera, Exuma and Abaco.
The Department of Immigration said it remains firm and resolute in its efforts to repatriate those persons found residing or working without work permits.
Additionally, officials remanded that illegal entry is an offence and violators will be repatriated in a timely manner.
