A second Freeport man is behind bars after being charged in court yesterday with the murder of 27-year-old Calvin Stuart.
Ronald Osias, 26, is accused of murdering Stuart.
Denie Osias, 24, was charged with Stuart’s murder on July 16.
Stuart, 26, was Grand Bahama’s seventh homicide victim for the year.
Ronald was arraigned before Magistrate Helen Jones and was not required to enter a plea to the charge.
He was later remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP).
A preliminary inquiry is set to commence on October 2.
Meantime, three American men boating in Bimini waters have been turned over to police after Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) officers searched their vessel and allegedly found a pistol and an undisclosed quantity of ammunition.
The suspects, all Florida residents, were arrested after RBDF officers conducted a routine check of their vessel in waters just off North Bimini.
During the inspection, police said the suspects were found to be in breach of the Fisheries Act as the men got no clearance from the Customs Department.
The three men are expected to be brought to New Providence to be arraigned in the Firearms Court on relevant charges before the end of the week.
