Eight months after Doris Johnson Senior High School 12th grader Adonai Wilson was brutally stabbed just a short distance away from his school’s campus by fellow students, those believed to be responsible for his death was brought before the Supreme Court for trial yesterday.

Last December, the school’s community was deeply saddened by the incident.

Three young men allegedly responsible for that killing, two of whom are juveniles, appeared before Supreme Court Justice Bernard Turner on the charge of murder.

Darante Davis along with the two juveniles pleaded not guilty to the murder charge at the start of the trial.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, December 9th last year, shortly after 2:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Blanco Bleach Company on Prince Charles Drive.

The horrific event caught the attention of the nation as it went viral on social media, showing several school boys running towards Wilson to attack him, and at one point showed a group of students holding him down as he was attacked.

The Crown’s first witness was Detective Constable Desmond Turner, who told the court that at about 2:13 p.m. on the day of the incident, he along with another officer responded to an incident near the traffic light at Fox Hill Road and Prince Charles Drive.

They observed a white picket fence, black tennis shoes and a blue jacket hanging on the fence, all with suspected blood stains.

Officer Turner said he then proceeded to collect blood samples from the items for analysis.

The witness also presented a selection of photos inclusive of bloodied scenes.
