A 30-year-old man was arraigned before Magistrate Joyann Ferguson Pratt on two counts of attempted murder charges of two police officers earlier this month.

The defendant, David Cornish, was not required to enter a plea.

It is alleged that on February 5th 2017, Cornish unlawfully and intentionally attempted to cause harm or death to officer Kyle Capron and his wife officer Demetria Capron.

The magistrate noted the intent of the crown to present a voluntary bill of indictment set for April 20th 2017, and remanded Mr. Cornish to the Bahamas Department of Correction

. The matter was adjourned to April 20th.
