Police on Abaco are on the hunt for the suspects involved in a $25,000 drug bust on that island that occurred on Thursday.
Abaco police reported that it was around 2:30 p.m., in Sandy Point, Abaco when they received
information that a suspicious package was discovered on Castaway Cay.
Officers of the Sandy Point Police Station responded and reports are that personnel of the
Disney Cruise Line discovered on the beach of Castaway Cay what appeared to be a dark coloured square brick shape package that was suspected to be cocaine.
Officers collected the package that tested positive for cocaine.
The estimated weight is 2.4 pounds and its estimated street value is $25,000.00.
There were no arrest in this matter, police are investigating.
Found Firearm in Grand Bahama
Reports are on that on Wednesday shortly after 3:00 p.m.; officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on information went to the Lawrence Close area in Grand Bahama at an abandoned building where they discovered a black and gray .9mm pistol with a magazine that contained one .9mm live round of ammunition.
No arrests were made in this matter.
Police are investigating.
