Two men were arraigned yesterday for the alleged rape of an American teen.
The incident allegedly occurred on Monday at the Comfort Suites Paradise Island Hotel.
Deno Bethell, 18, of Pride Estates and 18-year-old Darron Knowles of Elizabeth Estates appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Joyann Pratt-Ferguson.
They were not required to enter a plea to the charge.
The prosecution did not object to bail.
Attorneys for the two men requested surveillance footage from the hotel as well as from Anthony’s Bar and Grill between 12:30 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. Monday.
Roger Gomez Jr., who represents Knowles also noted that police took blood from his client without explaining that he had a legal right to refuse,
Bethell is represented by Attorney Glendon Rolle.
The accused are expected back in court on November 26 when a Voluntary Bill of Indictment (VBI) will be read.
