A 26-year-old man was charged in court Monday with murdering a Grand Bahama man last week.
Denie Osias was arraigned for Calvin Stuart’s murder.
Stuart was stabbed to death on July 11 in the Sunridge Road and Carissa Street area.
Police found his body in the road.
Osias appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Helen Jones and was not required to enter a plea to the charge.
He was instead remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP) until October 2 when a preliminary inquiry is expected to be held.
Osias, a resident of Jones Town, Eight Mile Rock was not represented by an attorney.
Stuart was the island’s seventh homicide victim.
Meanwhile, police in Grand Bahama have identified the country’s 74th homicide victim as 27-year-old Rodnell Fils-Ame, also known as Rodnell Octavien.
Police found Fils-Ame’s bullet riddled body on Bruce Avenue West on July 12.
