Officers of the Royal Bahamas Police Force took three more illegal firearms off the streets of New Providence this past weekend in two separate incidents.
Around 10:00 a.m., officers on Saturday from the Southwestern Division conducted a search of a residence located at at Kenya Avenue of Higher Drive.
During the search officers uncovered two nine millimeter pistols wrapped in a plastic bag.
No one was arrested in this incident.
Then in the second incident after 10:00am, officers of the Selective Enforcement Team conducted a search warrant where they found a shotgun.
The search which was conducted by officers acting on intelligence was carried out on a home located at Wilson Track.
During the search they they located an unlicensed shotgun.
An adult male resident of the home was subsequently arrested in connection with this discovery.
