Police are still searching for the person/people responsible for a shooting incident that has left a man dead and several vehicles damaged.

The incident reportedly occurred around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in Yellow Elder Gardens.

Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased was through Lightbourne Avenue off Seymour Street, when he was shot multiple times by the occupant(s) of a white four-door Nissan SD.

Police are actively investigating and appealing to members of the public who may have any information that can assist them in locating the suspect(s) to contact them anonymously at 911, 919, the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991or Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS.

This brings the homicide count to 67 for the year.
