The new $250,000 casino-style Island Luck web shop was officially opened yesterday at the Village Road Shopping Centre.
This newest addition to the company’s chain of gaming houses is the first web shop to have a fully functioning drive-thru equipped with state-of-the-art slot machines.
Island Luck CEO Sebas Bastian said his company is seeking ways to better service Bahamians and this “atmosphere upgrade” gives customers the “casino feel”.
“Today, Island Luck unveiled the next big thing again,” he said.
“Basically, we are setting a standard for the future in web shops here in The Bahamas. We have used our research and exposure to the gaming industry internationally to parachute concepts here in the domestic market. We are seeking to transport the player experience by providing the state-of-the-art comfortable environment that is consistent with the international standard of gaming.”
Mr. Bastian said the modern look of the Village Road location is to make Bahamians feel comfortable while carrying out their regular web shop activities.
He added that the location can be thought of as a lounge for customers too, as it offers soft drinks and sports broadcastings through operation hours.
“The web shop has become a social environment locally,” he said.
“Because of this, people gather here to discuss pass and future results, prophesy, you name it, they do it here. When you look at gaming today, it has become a past time for most Bahamians. What better way to accompany that by providing a safe comfortable and secure state-of-the-art environment?”
Mr. Bastian said excluding renovations that are expected to undergo at five Island Luck locations including the Mall at Marathon, Prince Charles, Paradise Island and other locations, the public can expect many prizes and surprises from the company in recent weeks.
“We have a lot of exciting software releases to come out,” he said.
“We were working really hard and just released the Island Luck App that you can find on app stores on your smart phones. We have different games coming out in the next week where people can have more to choose from. We’re also looking to do some credit card additions to our company where you can come in and make purchases using your card over the counter. The rest of it is secrets and surprises to be released on ‘Secret Day.’ ”
