An agreement for a $300 million Bahamian-owned resort planned for
the Cable Beach strip and Balmoral Island was signed on Thursday
which the developers say will provide jobs for 500 Bahamians during its
construction over the next four years and 744 full time positions when
completed.
Voir Beach which is being developed by the Fox Group of Companies
will boast two 14-storey mixed-use buildings, blending residential and
hotel spaces with world-class amenities. Guests and residents will enjoy
restaurants, rooftop pools, a recording studio, a nightclub, a spa, and a
seaside bar and jetty — offering a fusion of leisure and luxury.
The development includes Balmoral Island which will feature three
clubhouses, each seating up to 500 guests; 23 land and overwater
cottages, a 100-slip marina, three pools, a performance area, and
entertainment stages; and a helipad and seaplane docking facilities.
Prime Minister Philip Davis said to the father and daughter principals of
the company, Adrian and Adrianna Fox, “I am particularly pleased to
sign this agreement with two Bahamian investors with a vision. It is my
hope that other potential domestic investors will be inspired by your
example.”
He added, “there was a time when a project like this would only be
possible through foreign direct investment.”
Both properties are expected to showcase modern and traditional
Bahamian architecture.

“The highlighting of our culture is critical,” said Prime Minister Davis.
“Going forward, every major investment in our islands must reflect and
celebrate who we are as Bahamians. After all, our culture is our
greatest asset, and it must be at the forefront of our tourism industry
and national development agenda.”
Adrian Fox spoke to working with the government in getting the
necessary approvals. “The partnership with the government has been
tremendous…Everybody has been working hard to make this happen…
We’re going to make sure we finish these projects.”
Adrianna Fox said, “I think the Fox brand has always showed
commitment to the Bahamian that we want to be philanthropists and
show persons that entrepreneurship is not limited to anybody.”
Underscoring the commitment to the project’s success the Prime
Minister said “we must ensure that this development sets a new
standard for sustainable, culturally rich, and economically empowering
investments in The Bahamas.”
“This investment is one of many in our pipeline, a testament to the
confidence both foreign and domestic investors have in our nation’s
steady economic growth and potential.”
Ground is expected to be broken on the project in late 2025.
