A 14-year-old boy apparently drowned yesterday afternoon while swimming with friends.

Police said the victim was swimming in an area referred to as Bone Fish Pond, Cowpen Road west when the incident occurred around 1:00p.m. Sunday.

Active investigations continue.

Police Quiz Sexual Assault Suspect

Police yesterday arrested a 21-year old male following reports that a teen girl had been sexually assaulted.

According to police, an 18-year-old female was in a vehicle in front of a West Bay Street Club yesterday when the suspect, who is known to her, sexually molested her against her will.

The young man was arrested soon after.

Investigations are ongoing.
