RCI Prepares For December Opening With Early Bookings

Journal Staff Writing

One of the most popular cruise lines in the world, Royal Caribbean International
(RCI) is expanding their vacation experience with the addition of its all-inclusive,
family friendly beach club on the western end of Paradise Island set to open in
December 2025. This week it was announced that bookings are open as tickets
and packages are now available for purchase on the RCI web site.
As the private beach club opens, it will feature two beaches, three pools and 10 bars.
Day pass options include unlimited food and drink for those 21 and older, starting
at $169.99.
Passes exclusive of alcoholic beverages start at $129.99 for guests 13 and older
and $109.99 for those ages 4 through 12. Children 3 and under can enter the beach
club for free.
There are also bundle options with onboard beverage packages or for the Perfect
Day experience at Coco Cay.
Passes are available for purchase online for any guest booked on a sailing visiting
Nassau from late December onward.
In May RCI President Philip Simon gave an update on the completion of this
project. At that time he said they were 50 percent complete and that the
construction schedule was on time for the December launch.
Meanwhile Mr. Simon said RCI and the government continue to work on the
shareholder agreement that will allow Bahamians to take an equity share in the
project totaling 49 percent, while RCI will hold 51 percent. According to Simon,
they hope to present that equity offering to Bahamians in the third quarter of this
year.
“We hope to have that completed soon. Obviously, that is necessary to move
forward in the process before we get to the Securities Commission, etc.,” he said.

He explained that the vendor for a ferry service that will transfer visitors from the
cruise port to the Royal Beach Club has been identified, with the contract yet to be
finalized
Last week the Royal Bahamas Defence Force welcomed RCI executives for a
courtesy call week where the discussions focused on strengthening security and
operational coordination ahead of the highly anticipated opening of the beach club.
The two sides are expected to collaborate closely to ensure the safety of guests
visiting the new destination and activities in the area.
As a testament to their continued collaboration, RCI extended an invitation to
Commodore RBDF Floyd Moxey to visit the site of the beach club currently under
development.
The visit served to reinforce mutual priorities, including national security,
environmental protection, and the promotion of sustainable tourism.
