Authorities are on the hunt for two men who they believe abducted a 51-year-old man.
Police said the man was kidnapped on Friday around 5:35 p.m., as he sat in his car on Cowpen Road.
According to police reports, the man was approached by two gunmen. They stole his 2008 Kia Sorento licence plate # 201261.
But before doing that, the culprits tied up the victim and took him to South Beach where they left him.
The victim was not discovered until Saturday evening around 7:15.
At last report he was detained in stable condition in hospital.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating these two men and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Meantime, officers are questioning a 31-year-old Kemp Road man about a shooting incident at a popular fast food restaurant on Bernard Road on Friday.
It was around 9:30 p.m. when the 29-year-old victim, who was a passenger inside a blue Honda vehicle, was on the drive through line at Wendy’s.
The Journal understands the male culprit attempted to open the passenger side door, however, it was locked.
That was when the culprit fired gunshots at the vehicle, which resulted in the male being shot.
He was subsequently taken to hospital, where he is detained in critical condition.
Police arrested a 21-year-old Pastel Gardens man and a 25-year-old Pinewood Gardens man after allegedly busting them with a handgun and some ammunition.
Officers of Rapid Strike, acting on information, said it was around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, when they went to Commonwealth Boulevard, Elizabeth Estates where they searched a grey Honda Accord and discovered the items.
