… You have never been this way before…

By DR.Willamae C. Miller
Joshua 3:4 NIV As we embark on a new year with over three hundred and sixty (360) days a head, fear may enter our hearts because the path is unknown to us, but we should fear nothing because the words of Lamentations 3:25 gives comfort.

Joshua 3:4 NIV
As we embark on a new year with over three hundred and sixty (360) days a head, fear may enter our hearts because the path is unknown to us, but we should fear nothing because the words of Lamentations 3:25 gives comfort.
“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him.”
David the Psalmist also gives comforting words in Psalm 23:6; “surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”
Blessed assurance! This truth gives every trusting child of God assurance, especially as he enters the threshold of a new uncertain year.
Francis Ridley Havergal (1836-1879), like David the Psalmist was confident for her Heavenly Father’s gracious purpose for her life and she knew that He could be with her always. These truths moved her to write the following poem.
Another Year Is Dawning
Another Year is dawning!
Dear Master let me be,
In working or in waiting,
Another year with thee.
Another year in leaning,
Upon Thy loving breast,
Of ever-deepening trustfulness
Of quiet, happy rest.

Another year of mercies,
Of faithfulness and grace;
Another year of gladness,
In the shinning on thy face,
Another of praise;
Another year of proving
Thy presence “all the days.”

Another year of service,
Of witness for thy love;
Another year of training
For holier works above.
Another year is dawning!
Dear Master, let it be
On earth, or else in heaven
Another year for thee!

-Frances Ridley Havergal
