Cayman Cricket Masters Arrive Today, Dynasty Out Bowl Titans

The Cayman Islands Masters Cricket team is expected to arrive in New Providence sometime today for two cricket matches against the Bahamas Masters team on Saturday (Nov 7th) and Sunday (Nov. 8th) at Haynes Oval.
The Cayman Islands Masters Cricket team is expected to arrive in New Providence sometime today for two cricket matches against the Bahamas Masters team on Saturday (Nov 7th) and Sunday (Nov. 8th) at Haynes Oval.
The Bahamian team will consist of the following players: Jairm Mangra (captain), Venris Bennett, Courtney Waddell, Howard Roye, Gary Armstrong, Aeon Lewin, Gregory Taylor Sr., Wayne Patrick, Mario Ford, Chris Brown, Ramdeo Ramdass, Himchand Rampersaud, Gary Campbell, Omar James, Byron Brown and Lester Taylor.
The matches will begin at 10:00am on each day and the public is invited to attend.  The visiting team and its sixty-five fans will be residing at the Breezes Resort.
While The Bahamas Cricket Association (BCA) will have no league play this weekend, the league hosted one match last Sunday at Haynes Oval.  It saw the the Dynasty Stars defeat their archrival Dockendale Titans by 54 runs to continue their quest for the BCA league championship.
Dynasty Stars batted first and scored a total of 209 runs for the loss of seven wickets.  Young Ryan Tappin top scored with 106 runs and Brian Bascom scored 30 runs in the 40 overs.  Bowling for Dockendale, Ian Surujlal and Ramdeo Ramdass took two wickets each.
Dockendale at bat was bowled out for 145 runs.  Their top scorers were Kevin Surujlal 42 runs and Rohan Parks 31 runs.  Bowling for Dynasty Stars Albert Peters took three wickets and Ryan Tappin two wickets were their best bowlers.
