The Dolphins Swimming Club, The Bahamas' oldest swimming organization held their first swim session at Xavier's School pool on October 6th 1969 under the direction of Coach Betty Cole, this weekend the club will commemorate that occasion as they kick off the 2009-2010 swim season by hosting their Fall Invitational at St. John's College Pool on Saturday October 24th. The Club is pleased to announce the continuing corporate involvement in swimming as the D'Albenas Agency/Snack Pack has agreed to sponsor the milestone in Dolphins history.
According to the organizers the meet will concentrate on sprint events for swimmers of all age groups, including the provision of 25m events for the youngest competitors.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 9am with the meet set to swim off at 9:30am. The public is invited to attend.
