The Bahamas Baseball Federation sent a Senior Men's National Team to the World Baseball Challenge http://www.worldbaseball.ca/ in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada on Tuesday. BBF President Craig Kemp stated, "We just want our young men to perform well and do their best as we go up against the big horses in baseball including the USA and Canada." "We must begin to rebuild our senior program and continue to agitate government to start to rebuild the National Baseball Stadium (The New Andre Rodgers National Baseball Complex) so our hard work with the youth program will not be in vain," said Kemp. Over the past 10 years the BBF has concentrated on developing its National Youth Program with outstanding results as seen this summer with the 16-18 National Teams' performance at the recent Little League 16-18 Latin American Championships in Venezuela and the historic second place finish at the recent 15-16 Pony Colt Latin American Championship in Puerto Rico, that included a historic victory over Gurabo, Puerto Rico that finished 2nd in the 2008 World Series.
